How to select Courses and Colleges For Engineering??

When u select a course for engineering u must know what your aptitude is. Without knowing your aptitude, if you join a college in any engineering stream it will not benefit you.

Select an engineering stream knowing your aptitude and then you can achieve heights in your career. You should know what each engineering stream deals with and what will be your career when you opt for a stream.

The basic branches or main branches in engineering are
i) Mechanical Engineering
ii) Electrical Engineering
iii) Civil Engineering

I) MECHANICAL

So you think you are born to become a mechanical engineer??
So you think you will become successful as a mechanical engineer??

So.. You are ready to make friendship with tools and machines, right??

Yes guys, many have a misunderstanding that  mechanical  just deals with vehicles. If you have a craze towards vehicles just go for  Automobile stream which can be considered as a stream that got birth from mechanical stream.

So a mechanical engineer is not one who just simply deals with vehicle design. Your career is going to be build up by machines. As Aamir khan said in 3 idiots machines are just materials that make work easier for mankind.

In your higher secondary syllabus u studied mechanics in physics and  thermodynamics in chemistry. These are some basic theories that you are going to study in mechanical engineering stream. Whether you were interested in those topics??? whether you loved those topics?? and further are you interested in designing and working of machines??

You can also build up your career as a designer also. Just specialize in CAD(Computer Aided Design).

Can u name a simple machine?? Do you know what a gear is?? If u know or if you are interested in knowing all these just go for it mechanical dude...

II) ELECTRICAL

So you are in luv with electricity????

You luv to play with electricity???

Go Go Go for electrical engineering only if you want to know more about electricity and electric machines.

You learned about transformers in your higher secondary syllabus, right?? Learned some laws about electricity in that syllabus. Those are some basics you will study in your engineering syllabus.

III) CIVIL

So ready to construct?????

I think almost all knows what a civil engineer is where he build ups his career.

If you are interested in designing and construction of buildings, Dams etc, just go for Civil engineering brother.

Now we can discuss the new generation branches.

IV) ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION

You should be crazy about electronic circuits, right??????

In your higher secondary syllabus you studied about logic gates, right?? Its one of basics in this branch.

Then circuit analysis you have to study, and for sure the communication part.
You must have heard about FM,AM etc. They are modulation techniques. These are some basics in communication part.
And if you are interested go for it.

V) COMPUTER SCIENCE

So you want to be a programmer????
Then go for this branch dude.
A strong interest for studying new programming languages like C,C++,JAVA etc.

Even if u are not from computer stream in higher secondary, you can opt this branch.
